Website examples (influences for my website)

While working on my website, I have been looking at some website examples to get an idea of characteristics I want on my website. At first I tried making a website with a horizontal menu, but after looking at some examples, I think using a vertical menu makes better use of the landscape space.

I also want to have a social bar like the one above on Wendy Lee-Warne's website, so that you can click and be taken to all of my professional social media accounts.
